Ketamine and MDMA, two psychoactive substances that have gained notoriety as party drugs, are being increasingly recognised for their potential therapeutic applications in treating a range of mental health conditions. Despite their reputation as recreational drugs, these substances have shown promise in clinical trials as tools to address treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD.
Join Dr. Ben Sessa to learn about the science and remarkable story behind ketamine and MDMA, both belonging to the psychedelic family. Ketamine is used to treat pain and has been found effective in treating mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. MDMA-assisted psychotherapy is being studied as a safe and effective approach to treat lifelong mental disorders. This talk will highlight the recent psychedelic renaissance and draw on Dr. Ben Sessa’s 15 years of research and clinical work with psychedelics.
Doors open at 7pm, talk starts at 7.30pm – come down early to grab a drink and a good seat!
